Is the pxapi project in PyPI still maintained?

Hi folks,

A question for the maintainers of this repo: is the pxapi PyPI package still maintained or is it deprecated?

It's still available at https://pypi.org/project/pxapi/ but I can see that it hasn't had a new release since September 2022. Before then it was being released every few weeks.

I can see the source code for it at https://github.com/pixie-io/pixie/tree/main/src/api/python and I see that a Dependabot PR bumping grpcio was merged to main 10 months ago, but no release was published on PyPI.

The code is still maintained as part of the project, but we have fallen behind on propagating releases to pypi.

The release from 2022 predates my time as a maintainer of the project, so I need to catch up with the maintainers who were involved with this. Once I have a chance to speak with them, I will follow up on plans to get the pypi release updated and to have automation in place for this.

@daveqnet I have access to the pxapi package on pypi now. I want to do some clean up before releasing a new version (#2142, #2143), but I'm looking to have a new version released soon.

Thanks @ddelnano! Just to check, since I can't seem to figure out which GitHub Action, if any, publishes new pxapi releases to PyPI, is the intention to publish new releases manually? I see that the latest release version there is still 0.8.0 (Sep 29, 2022).

@daveqnet the upload process is manual right now. While I have access to the pypi pxapi package, I'm getting permission errors on upload. I was able to upload to pxapi2 on test pypi, so I don't have the right permissions to upload.

I'll be resolving that today when I can talk to another maintainer that has read/write access. Sorry this issue got closed preemptively, I'll report on here when it is available!
