Cant manage Github Repos. No repositories found.

I Have been having issues with GitHub integration since I started, its most likely user error but I have read the similar issues and watched videos with no resolve..

No GitHub repositories found. Please open a folder that contains a GitHub repository.

I can see the commits and everything in GitLens(chart and graph history works too) but some of my branch management features are missing. Under Source Control I do have No source control providers registered if this matters?

I have all the git files in the directory and I am able to git push,commit,add, everything at CLI. I tried git init (you can see in terminal)
just to make sure, every thing Runs,Tests,Debugs.

I should see more Git management functions like stash for my branch and options for rolling back right?
