UC 1: single file uc.

1. Jin has measured an x-ray pattern and wants to apply the absorption correction.
2. Jin navigates to the folder with the file in it
3. Jin runs pdfapp giving the name of the file
4. pdfapp computes the cve, applies it to the datafile and writes out a new data file

UC 2: single file, remote directory

1. as UC1.1
2. Jin cd's to his home directory
3. as UC1.3-1.4 except he also specifies the location of the file as well as the name

UC 3: multiple files

1. Jin has measured 100 x-ray patterns using the same sample and wants to apply the absorption correction to all of them
2. as UC 1.2
3. Jin runs pdfapp telling it to apply correction to the 100 files
4. as UC 1.4

UC 4: multiple files, remote directory

1. as UC 3, file directory is remote as in UC 2

UC 5: multiple files, different samples

1. as UC 3 and 4, but Jin tells the program different muDs for each sample

UC 6: multiple files, folder contains different valid file types

1. Jin has measured 100 x-ray patterns from different instruments with different file type, and he wants to apply the same correction to all of them
2. as UC 3.2-4

UC 7: multiple files, folder contains invalid file types

1. as UC 6.1, but additionally there are some invalid files
2. as UC 1.2
3. Jin runs pdfapp
4. pdfapp automatically selects the right files to apply the correction to

UC 8: specifying multiple files

1. as UC 7.1-7.2
2. Jin runs pdfapp specifying the files he wants to apply the correction to
3. pdfapp runs these specific files

The functionality works like this: first it looks for a file, then it looks for a directory and glob all files in it. It also accepts wild card (path/to/input_dir/*.chi`) and a file list (default file may be like input_file_list that contains a list of things to run on).

Examples:
lpd 2.5 jins_data.chi
lpd 2.5 ./input_dir/jins_data.chi
lpd 2.5 .
lpd 2.5 ./input_dir
lpd 2.5 .chi
lpd 2.5 input_dir/.chi
lpd 2.5 file1.chi file10.chi
lpd 2.5 input_file_list.txt

file1.chi 2.5
file2.chi 3.5 (multiple files with different muD)
-file7.chi (specify files don’t want to read)

I guess what I had in mind was to delete (or at least close) 51 and just to copy-paste the things in 51 to here. This puts all the discussion into one place that we can link to from the code.
