I just got an email from no-reply@github.com that says, quoting:

Access to GitHub Copilot is now included with your GitHub account

Although the email doesn't refer to Emacs I'm using, I still was curious to look at it (I see there's an Emacs plugin still). So I'm clicking a link "Start using Copilot", but I get error Oops, something went wrong Copilot is unavailable to you at this time. Screenshot:

I also tried clicking the link from my profile, but I get same error. Apparently it is some kind of Github bug, so am reporting it.

Tbh I don't think Github officials pay any attention to Github bugreports. It's not the first time I report one (although the first time it gets so popular), and I never got an answer.

GitHub Copilot may not be sold, exported, or re-exported to any embargoed destination or a country listed in Country Group E:1 in Supplement No. 1 to part 740 of the EAR without authorization. These destinations currently include Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, and the following regions of Ukraine: Crimea/Sevastopol and the separatist areas of Donetsk and Luhansk.
